WG Ball Wet Process Enamel Powder - Sky Blue 12547
Wet process enamels have proved over the last few years to be very popular, opening up a whole new range of effects. These are supplied in powder form and just require the addition of water. To achieve our recommended thickness of enamel, put 8 parts by weight of wet process dry powder into a suitable sized container then add 3 parts by weight of water and stir until smooth, it is then ready to use.
If you prefer, you can vary the powder to water ratio to suit your requirements. Once a layer of sheet steel groundcoat has been applied to the steel and fired, all other wet process enamels and normal jewellery enamels can be used.
The method of production of the fired trials was as follows:
- The metal was degreased.
- Sheet steel groundcoat was applied by spraying. The enamels can also be dipped or the enamel applied with a soft brush.
- The enamel was dried and fired for 3 minutes at 800 centigrade.
- One coat of wet process white was applied and fired at the same temperature, and then two coats of each colour were applied and fired to give a solid opaque colour.
- These are the colours achieved on steel.

Delivery & Returns
Dispatch Times
We endeavour to dispatch all orders placed before 3pm on the same day (weekdays only, excluding bank holidays).
UK Mainland
- Orders below £50: Charged at £2.95 and typically sent via Royal Mail 24 or 24 Tracked service.
- Orders above £50: Sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 service.
Please note that while next-day delivery is common, it cannot be guaranteed. If you urgently require your order, we strongly recommend selecting the Royal Mail Special Delivery option at checkout, which incurs an additional charge.

International
We are working to integrate with Royal Mail and DHL at checkout. For now, please add your items to the basket and contact us for a shipping quote at checkout.
Most international orders are shipped via Royal Mail’s Tracked and Signed service. Orders generally arrive within 4-10 days, but customs delays can occur. If no one is home, the item may be taken to your local sorting office.
UK Value Added Tax (VAT) Charges
We will automatically remove any applicable UK VAT from your order during checkout once you select a shipping destination outside the United Kingdom or Isle of Man.
You may be subject to import taxes, duties, and fees once your parcel arrives in your country. Typically, the courier will contact you once your parcel has been processed by customs.
For VAT purposes, Jersey and Guernsey are considered outside the United Kingdom, so UK VAT will be removed from orders shipping to these locations.
