Soft Flex has been providing beaders with high-quality beading wire since the early 1990s. It was created by American Mike Sherman, a beader himself, who believed others would benefit from using his specially manufactured Soft Flex Beading Wire. Using a special manufacturing formula, he created a marine quality stainless steel beading wire that was kink-resistant but flexible enough to tie without compromising its strength.

Soft Flex jewellery wire comes in a huge array of colours and sizes. Wires are made up of either 21 or 49 micro woven stainless-steel threads so you can choose which one is suitable for your creation. At Maddisons of Durham, we have an impressive range of Soft Flex beading wire for you to choose from.

We offer the brand’s wire in fine (0.14in diameter), which is suitable for softer materials including seed beads and freshwater pearls. Our range of medium wires (0.19in diameter) are considered multi-purpose and can be used with glass, mineral and metal beads. Our heavy-duty wires (0.24in diameter) are ideal for abrasive materials such as large stones and bracelets.

As for colours, our range offers a rainbow of classic shades so you can choose the perfect wire to complement your creations.
