Knew Concepts Titanium Soldering Trivet
Our American made Titanium Trivets let you heat your piece from underneath, without stealing the heat.
These titanium trivets have advantages over traditional iron trivets (or iron screens), such as:
- Titanium doesn’t steal heat like iron does, so you can concentrate on soldering your piece, and not the prop.
- Solder and enamel don’t stick to titanium, so you don’t need to worry about that either.
The reason you want to get the piece up in the air is so that you can heat from underneath. That will let you do delicate things like soldering bezels down without worrying about melting them, which is a real risk if you heat from the top.
The baseplate is usually the heaviest, thickest part of the piece which means that it takes the most heat to bring it up to the proper temperature for soldering. If you can heat the baseplate from the back—where there are fewer delicate bits, there’s less risk to the delicate parts on the front, and your soldering goes easier. You can also heat more aggressively from the back, which will help as well.

Dispatch Times
We endeavour to dispatch all orders placed before 3pm on the same day (weekdays only, excluding bank holidays).
UK Mainland
- Orders below £50: Charged at £2.95 and typically sent via Royal Mail 24 or 24 Tracked service.
- Orders above £50: Sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 service.
Please note that while next-day delivery is common, it cannot be guaranteed. If you urgently require your order, we strongly recommend selecting the Royal Mail Special Delivery option at checkout, which incurs an additional charge.

International
We are working to integrate with Royal Mail and DHL at checkout. For now, please add your items to the basket and contact us for a shipping quote at checkout.
Most international orders are shipped via Royal Mail’s Tracked and Signed service. Orders generally arrive within 4-10 days, but customs delays can occur. If no one is home, the item may be taken to your local sorting office.
UK Value Added Tax (VAT) Charges
We will automatically remove any applicable UK VAT from your order during checkout once you select a shipping destination outside the United Kingdom or Isle of Man.
You may be subject to import taxes, duties, and fees once your parcel arrives in your country. Typically, the courier will contact you once your parcel has been processed by customs.
For VAT purposes, Jersey and Guernsey are considered outside the United Kingdom, so UK VAT will be removed from orders shipping to these locations.
