Watch Screws

Screws play a big part within the mechanical makeup of your watch. These small, inconspicuous parts allow us to join different materials together and remain intact without loosening. Screws work similarly in your watch, playing an important role in joining separate mechanisms in your watch. From the bracelet, lugs and cases to the movement, you can find more than ten different types of screws in a watch. Each of these screws have different shapes, functions and are located in different positions in your timepiece, to keep it in good working order.

Micro Screws for Watches

The most common screws you’ll find in your watch are screws on the bracelet and in the back of the case. These two types of screws are relatively simple; usually consisting of very small flat or cross-type screws. The opening for these screws may also be very small and require a special small screwdriver to unscrew. Don’t try to unscrew your watch with anything other than a specialist screwdriver as your watch may incur scratches or other damage. Damaged screws are difficult to remove.
